| | I am very much pro-life and have always believed that life begins at the catalyst that is conception. But I am not certain of what can constitute life. What about when a baby is formed and has Anencephaly? Anencephaly is when a baby develops without a brain, and sometimes no brain stem or top portion of the skull (flesh and bone). Because of the lack of a brain, the baby will "never be able to exercise the spiritual and moral capacities of human life, e.g., love of God and neighbor," (quoting an artical) Does anyone have any thoughts on if a baby without a brain is "alive"? |
